PERU RECEIVES 4 AWARDS AT WORLD TRAVEL AWARDS - Machu Picchu

Our tourism standard #MachuPicchu was recognized today as the best tourist destination in #SouthAmerica 2021 awarded by the #WorldTravelAwards, also called the Oscar of #WorldTourism. In a ceremony held at the Peru pavilion at the Expo Dubai, the president of the World Travel Awards, Graham Cooke, highlighted the award given to Machu Picchu which he described as a "wonderful place" and for being the best tourist destination in South America. In this way Machu Picchu receives for the fourth consecutive year this important international distinction awarded by the #WorldTravelAwards2021.

The citadel of Machu Picchu already won in this category in the 2018, 2019 and 2020 editions. Along with Machu Picchu, Peru received recognition from the World Travel Awards in three other categories: Best Leading Culinary Destination in South America 2021, Best Leading Cultural Destination in South America 2021 and Leading Tourism Office in South America 2021: PromPerú.
